Whole-home moves across Sydney

House removalists Sydney, the whole home, one price.

Moving a whole house is not the same as shifting a couch. It is your kitchen, your kids' rooms, the garage and everything you have collected over the years. We move the lot with one capped price in writing, full insurance, and a crew that treats your home as if it were their own.

Everything a full house move needs

A whole home has a hundred moving parts. Here is what the one capped number covers, from the wardrobe fixings to the fridge on the balcony.

Capped-Price Promise

One number in writing before we lift a thing. If your move runs longer than planned, the extra hours are on us, not added to your bill on the day.

Insured, every room

Cover runs from the first wrap to the last box. If we damage something, we repair or replace it. The remedy is stated up front, not improvised.

Furniture apart and back together

Beds, wardrobes and dining tables come apart at the old home and go back together at the new one, with every fixing bagged and labelled.

Optional full packing

Add our packing service and we wrap the kitchen, the wardrobes and the fragile bits, then unpack at the other end if you want.

Right box, right room

Boxes are labelled by room and set down where they belong, so you are not carrying the kettle up the stairs on your first night.

One crew, start to finish

The team that wraps your home is the team that unloads it. Familiar faces, one point of contact, no strangers halfway through the day.

From quote to keys in the door

Quote within the hour

Tell us the size of the home, the access at both ends and whether you want packing. You get a capped price back within the hour, 7am to 7pm.

Plan and cap in writing

We walk through the inventory, lock the cap in writing and book your day. You know the number and the plan before a single box is taped.

Move day, done properly

We wrap, load, drive and set you up: furniture rebuilt, boxes in the right rooms, floors protected. You walk into a home, not a warehouse.

Worth knowing

A house move is a bigger job than it looks

Anyone can shift a bed frame. A full house is a different animal. It is the loft boxes you forgot about, the fridge that has to come off the balcony, the piano in the lounge, the shed out the back and the wardrobe that will not fit through the door unless someone knows how to angle it. Get one of those wrong and a smooth day turns into a long one. We plan the whole home before the truck arrives, so the awkward items are handled, not discovered.

This is where a cheap hourly quote from a generalist mover can bite. A rate that looks tidy on paper keeps climbing while two movers puzzle out your staircase, and the final bill lands nowhere near the estimate. A capped price does the opposite: we work out the real scope first, put one number in writing, and carry the risk of a slow day ourselves. You get certainty on the one day you least want a surprise.

Studio to family home, we scale the crew to fit

A studio does not need the truck a five-bedroom house needs, so we size the crew and the vehicle to the home. Smaller places get a lean, fast team. Larger family homes get more hands and more capacity so the day does not stretch into the evening. If your move is really just a few big items rather than a whole home, our furniture removalists page is the better fit, and for one-off pieces there is single item removals. For the full house, this is the service.

Prefer to hand over the boxes as well as the muscle? Our packing service wraps the fragile and fiddly rooms so you are not up until midnight the night before. However much you take on, it folds into the one capped price you approve up front. Ready to see your number? Get your capped quote and we will have it back within the hour.

Whole homes, moved without the stress

"Four bedroom house in Ryde with two kids underfoot. They packed the kitchen, pulled apart every bed and had them rebuilt by dinner. The quote was capped and the final invoice matched to the dollar."

Sarah K.Four bed house

"We had a tricky wardrobe and a fridge on a second-floor balcony that two other movers said would be extra. These guys quoted it capped, moved both without a mark, and did not chase us for more on the day."

"Downsizing from the family home was emotional enough without a moving mess on top. The crew was calm, careful with Mum's china, and every box went to the right room. Worth every cent of the capped price."

How a whole-house move actually runs

Move day starts with a walkthrough, not a trolley. The crew lead walks the home with you, checks the inventory against the quote, flags the fragile and the awkward, and agrees the order of rooms. It takes a few minutes and it saves hours, because from that point everyone on the crew knows what is going where and which pieces need the careful hands.

Protection goes down before anything comes out. Floor runners along the hallways, pads on the doorframes and banisters, covers over the carpet at both homes. Then the rooms are packed in loading order: the things you will need last come out first, and the essentials stay accessible until the end. Beds, wardrobes and dining tables are dismantled as their rooms are cleared, with the fixings bagged, labelled and taped to the piece they belong to.

The truck is loaded heavy to light. Whitegoods and solid furniture form the base against the walls, mattresses and sofas build padded layers between them, and boxes stack on top with the fragile cartons riding last, where nothing can shift onto them. At the new home the same logic runs in reverse: boxes go straight to the rooms written on their labels, and the beds are rebuilt first, so that whatever else happens, everyone has somewhere to sleep that night. The kitchen and bathroom boxes follow, then the rest of the house at your pace.

Before the truck leaves the old address, the lead does a final sweep with you: cupboards opened, loft checked, garden and shed cleared, keys and remotes accounted for. It is a two-minute habit that has saved a lot of return trips, and it means you lock the door once and do not think about the place again.

The week before makes the day

Most of the stress in a house move is decided before the truck arrives. Use the week before to run down the freezer, return anything borrowed or rented, book the lift if you are in an apartment, and set aside an essentials box of chargers, kettle, medications and school things that travels in your own car. Our moving house checklist walks through the full countdown week by week.

And if you are still comparing quotes, it helps to understand what actually drives the price of a move: volume, access and distance, in roughly that order. Our guide to removalist costs in Sydney explains what to look for and why some cheap-looking hourly quotes tend to grow on the day. When you are ready, request your capped quote and we will have one number, in writing, back within the hour, 7am to 7pm.

House move questions, answered

How much does it cost to move a house in Sydney?

It depends on the size of the home, the access at both ends and how much packing you want us to do. Rather than guess, we quote each home individually and give you one capped price in writing before we start, so there is no moving-day bill shock.

Do you pack the whole house or just move it?

Both. You can pack yourself and we handle the heavy lifting, or add our full packing service and we wrap everything from the kitchen to the wardrobes. Either way it is folded into the one capped price you approve up front.

Will you take apart and reassemble my furniture?

Yes. Beds, wardrobes, dining tables and flat-pack units are disassembled at your old home and put back together at the new one, with the fixings kept safe in labelled bags so nothing goes missing.

How long does a full house move take?

A one or two bedroom home is often done within a day. A large family home with packing can run across a day or two. We tell you the expected window when we quote, and because the price is capped, a longer day does not cost you more.

Is my furniture insured while you move it?

Yes. Your belongings are insured from the first wrap to the last box in the right room. If we damage something, we repair or replace it. That is the remedy, in writing, not a shrug on the day. Boxes you pack yourself are covered a little differently, so tell us if you're self-packing.

Can you move me on a weekend or at short notice?

Yes, we run seven days and can often fit in short-notice moves. If your timing is tight, see our same-day service, and either way you get a quote back within the hour, 7am to 7pm.

Do I need to empty drawers and wardrobes before the move?

Empty the drawers of anything heavy, fragile or valuable, and clear wardrobes of loose items. Light soft things like linen can usually stay in sturdy drawers for a short local move. We confirm what can travel loaded during the walkthrough, because it depends on the piece and the stairs involved.

Can you move plants, and what about pets?

Potted plants travel fine on most local moves; we load them last, upright and unwrapped, so they are first off at the other end. Pets are the one thing we ask you to move yourself, since a truck is a stressful place for an animal. A carrier in your own car is kinder for everyone.

Do you arrange parking permits or truck access?

We plan the truck position with you before the day and tell you exactly how much kerb space we need. If your street or building needs a council permit or a booked loading zone, we walk you through arranging it, since permits are usually issued to the resident. Sorting it early keeps the carry short and the day fast.

Do you move the garage, shed and outdoor furniture too?

Yes, the quote covers the whole property, not just the rooms inside. Garages, sheds, outdoor settings, barbecues and pot plants are all part of the inventory we price. Just mention them when you ask for your quote so the cap reflects the true size of the job.
