Everything your interstate quote covers

Interstate is where surprise costs breed. Here's what's inside the one number we give you.

Capped-Price Promise

One number in writing before we load. If the trip runs long, the extra hours are on us, not on your bill.

Insurance the whole way

Transit and goods-in-care cover from first wrap to last box. A thousand kilometres of highway, all of it insured.

One crew, door to door

The crew that loads in Sydney is the crew that unloads at the other end. No depot handoffs, no mystery carriers.

Materials included

Blankets, wrap, straps and trolleys ride with the truck. Long-haul packing is done properly, not charged separately.

One contact, start to finish

You get one person who knows your move, answers the phone, and tells you where your truck is.

Storage at either end

Settlement dates rarely line up. We hold your goods in monitored storage and deliver when you have the keys.

How it works

From quote to new front door

Quote within the hour

Tell us the route, the size of the move and your dates. You'll get a capped price back within the hour, 7am to 7pm.

Cap and inventory in writing

We confirm your inventory, lock the cap in writing and book your departure. You know the number and the dates before anything moves.

Load, drive, deliver

We wrap and load at your place, drive the route, and set you up at the other end with furniture reassembled and boxes in the right rooms.

Backloading: the cheaper way to move interstate

If your dates are flexible, ask us about backloading. It means your goods share a truck that's already running your route, so you pay for the space you use instead of the whole vehicle. On busy corridors like Sydney to Melbourne and Sydney to Brisbane, that can take a real chunk off the price.

The trade-off is timing. A backload works to the truck's schedule, not yours, so your delivery window is wider. If you need to be in the new place on a set day, a dedicated truck is the safer pick. If you can wait a few days either side, backloading is the best value in interstate moving. Either way, the price still comes to you as one capped number.

What to check before you book any interstate mover

Not a sales pitch, just the three questions that separate a smooth interstate move from an expensive story. Ask them of anyone you're comparing, including us.

Our answers: capped in writing, our own crew the whole way, and insured door to door. If another quote can't match those three, that's the difference in the price.

Interstate moves, rated five stars

"Sydney to Melbourne with a piano and a toddler. Loaded Tuesday, delivered Wednesday morning, and the bill matched the cap exactly. The same two blokes at both ends, which mattered more than I expected."

Dana L.Sydney to Melbourne

"Got three quotes for Brisbane. Two were hourly with a shrug about the total. These guys gave me one number in writing and it didn't move. Settlement was delayed and they held our stuff for nine days without drama."

Marcus P.Sydney to Brisbane

"Backloaded to Adelaide to save money and it was seamless. Wider delivery window, sure, but they called the day before with an exact time and everything arrived wrapped like it left."

The week before an interstate move

Most of the stress in an interstate move is packed into the last seven days, and most of it is avoidable. Here is the short countdown we walk every customer through once the booking is locked in.

A week out, confirm your inventory. If anything has changed since the quote, more furniture, fewer boxes, a treadmill that appeared from somewhere, tell us now. Changes are easy to handle a week early and awkward on the driveway, and flagging them ahead keeps the cap conversation honest on both sides. This is also the week to work through our moving house checklist and change of address checklist so the paperwork moves when you do.

24 to 48 hours out, deal with the fridge. Defrost it, dry it out, and leave the doors open overnight. A fridge that travels wet arrives smelling like it travelled wet, and on a long route there is no fixing that mid-journey.

On the day, keep the irreplaceable with you. Passports, contracts, medications, jewellery, and a first-night box with kettle, chargers, sheets and a change of clothes travel in your own car, not the truck. Not because the truck is risky, but because you want them in hand the moment you arrive, hours before the unpacking starts.

Before the truck leaves, swap details. Exchange mobile numbers with the crew, confirm your delivery window, and make sure someone will be at the other end with keys and a working phone. A move with a thousand kilometres in the middle runs on that little bit of communication.

Book with us and all of this is walked through with your one contact, and the price stays the single capped number you were quoted. Still comparing? Our costs guide shows what drives interstate pricing, or get your capped quote now.

Good to know

Interstate questions, answered

How long does a move from Sydney to Melbourne take?

Most Sydney to Melbourne moves are picked up one day and delivered the next. Longer routes like Adelaide run two to three days, and Perth is usually five to nine.

How much does an interstate move cost?

It depends on volume, route and access, which is why we quote each move individually. You get one capped price in writing before we load, and if the trip runs longer than planned, we wear the extra hours.

What is backloading and is it cheaper?

Backloading means your goods share a truck that is already running your route. It can cost a fair bit less if your dates are flexible, because you pay for the space you use rather than the whole truck.

Are my belongings insured during transit?

Yes. Transit and goods-in-care insurance covers your belongings the whole way, from the moment we start wrapping to the moment the last box lands in the right room.

Can you store my things between homes?

Yes. If your new place isn't ready, we can hold your goods in clean, monitored storage at either end and deliver when you have the keys.

Who actually handles my move?

Our own crew and our own trucks. We don't sell your job to a third-party carrier, so the people who quote your move are the people responsible for it arriving.

Can I travel with the truck?

No, insurance and seating rules mean the cab is crew only. Most customers fly or drive and meet the truck at the other end. We exchange mobile numbers before departure and keep you across the delivery window the whole way.

Can you move my car as well?

Tell us when you book. Depending on the route we can sometimes help, or we will put you onto a specialist vehicle carrier we trust, and either way we can time your furniture delivery around when the car lands.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Yes. We run seven days, and on longer routes the delivery window can naturally land on a weekend. If a weekend delivery suits your keys and settlement dates better, say so when you book and we will plan the run around it.

How do I know where my things are during the trip?

You have one contact who knows your move and answers the phone, so an update is a call or a text away. The crew also calls ahead of delivery to confirm the arrival time, so you are never guessing on the day.

One capped price
for the whole trip.

Tell us your route and your dates. You'll have a written, fully insured price back within the hour, 7am to 7pm, and no obligation to book.
